What age did you start riding?  9 years old

Most memorable horsey moment?   Tyran, my youngest horse, was shortlisted to be 'started' by Monty Roberts when he was 4 years old.  He is rising 12 now..  Took him to Monty at Gleneagles for him to 'test him out'.  Think Tyran proved too much of a handful to Monty as he chose a nice quiet Highland to start instead.  But think I was pretty glad, as I backed and brought him on myself instead.

Top equine tip?  When clipping your horse , don't use chalk to mark your lines, (that's if you're useless at lines like me!!) use a piece of saddle soap - the clippers can't go through the soap and you get perfect lines

Dream Horse (imaginary or real)?  I have my dream horse - Gayle, my old horse who will be 34 years old this year.  She has given me a lot of pleasure and happiness since I bought her at the ripe old age of 20.

Favourite equestrian discipline?  Working Hunter and General Hunter classes.

Great Escape (ideal non horsey day)?   Sitting in front of the TV, watching a Doris Day movie - aaaaaaaaaaaaaah peace perfect peace!
