SJ Instruction with Grant Turnbull

Following the success of the XC training earlier this year, more showjumping instruction with Grant Turnbull is taking place over the next few months.  These are being held at Langlands Farm (weather permitting).  The first of these sessions was held on the weekend 24th Sept with more dates planned.  Please see Diary page for more dates.  Any member interested in attending should contact Julie Ritchie.

Summer Members nights

The last of the members nights was held at Devon on Tuesday 12th Sept.  These members nights have been enjoyable as they allow members to compete in a friendly, stress free environment.  The results from these nights are available on the Results page.  These results contribute to the Annual trophies, which will be presented at the AGM.

Members successes

Bryony Ross with Gold competed at the Caledonia Championships in September in the Individual Dressage.  They rode a great test in the  Prelim 18 class and came 11th.

Louisa Ferguson and Folkin Cappuccino also competed on the Novice 32 class and came 6th out of an incredible 36 competitors in the class, well done to both!

Caroline Guy and Lorna Mullen attended Dalmeny ODE in July.   They both had a great day in the baking heat, Caroline on Benson had a good double clear finishing just outside the rosettes.  Lorna on Shannon also had a great double clear and came first, winning a travel rug.

In September some members attended Craigie ODE which is run by Fife Riding Club.  In the 2'6'' class Carol Davie on Tex had a great day finishing 5th Overall, Caroline Guy on Benson proved that hard work over the summer pays off and won the class with an improved dressage and a double clear.

Rosemary Dickson and Lorna Mullen entered the 3' class.  Unfortunately this time, Lorna and Shannon took a dislike to the Wall in the Showjumping and didn't go XC, meanwhile Rosemary and Bronte had a great first XC run at this height.

We are always wanting to hear of members results whilst out and about, please email them to Julie and we will put them on the website.
