Annual Club Meal - Wed 16th Feb 2005

This was held in Culross and was really well attended yet again.  Club members had a chance to catch up without our four legged friends being there.

Drill Ride - Sun 27th Feb 2005

Five keen riders with five very fresh horses took part in this and a good time was had by all.  Liessa directed the group ably and hopefully this will be repeated next year.

Vaulting - Have a go Day - 12th & 20th Mar 2005

These days were very well attended. Ann Hunt explained the background and advantages of Vaulting to the groups, and then got us all started.

The importance of warming up the horses and the riders was highlighted, so we started with jogging round Ann's lunge circle, followed by some stretching.  Once we'd all got our breath back we moved onto the first of the 3 horses.  During the day we progressed from riding with no hands, to kneeling in the bench position in canter, to cantering facing the horses tail, to eventually standing (nearly) upright in walk.

The horses that put up with us were amazing with great temperaments and behaved very well.  They ranged from a 15h2 Welsh Cob to an 18h2 ex Police horse.

There are many of us who are keen to go back regularly.   We would like to say a big thank you to Ann and her helpers who gave us all great confidence.  We had a fab time!!
