XC Training - From Fri 1st April This was held at Langlands Farm where Grant Turnbull helped the riders work on their XC techniques over showjumps, after three successful sessions the final training session was held at Strathearn Eventing over the XC fences. Everyone really enjoyed the training and really improved. The weather was also kind over the 2 weekends which was an added bonus. Some photos will follow shortly. I'm sure all the riders would like to say a big thanks to Grant for his help.
Ingliston House Stud Visit - Saturday 16th April

Showjumping and Dressage Members nights - Tues 19th April & Mon 9th May The members nights have started again, with the first SJ night being held on Tues 19th April at Devon and the dressage night on Mon 9th May at the RDA, Sauchieburn.
These nights provide the chance for members to compete in the relevant discipline and in relaxed and friendly environment.
They are a great way of getting to know other members and getting you and your horse out and about. See the diary page for future dates.
Fife Riding Club Hunter Trials at Craigie - Sunday 24th April Several of our riding club members competed successfully at this hunter trial in Fife. Heather MacGowan with Inka was clear round the 3ft course which was a great achievement for her first time out this year.
Rosemary Dickson, Caroline Guy and Lorna Mullen all entered the 2'6'' course. Caroline and Rosemary both had a bit of bother at the 3rd last fence which had some very scary cushions on it however had great rounds apart from that, finishing 7th and 9th respectively. Lorna with Shannon had a great round and finished 2nd. Well done to all who competed.
Annual Showing Show - Sunday 15th May This was held at Kinneil Estate, Bo'ness in glorious weather. The show was again really well attended with the lorry park full to bursting. The great turnout makes all the hard work from the committee worthwhile.

The
club had a really enjoyable and informative visit to Ingliston House Stud on a
cold April morning. Claire Campbell and her Dad personally showed us round
their fabulous facilites. We were very lucky as a foal had been born the
night before and there were a few older foals as well. 
We were shown their high tech lab where the AI is carried out. Then we
visited the mares and stallions in their stables. They were all very well
behaved and obviously much loved by Claire and her family. 
We
watched one of the mares being exercised in the fantastic indoor area.
After being ridden the mare was washed down and then enjoyed some pampering at
the hair dressers.
